She has shoulder-length blonde hair which she often wears down, with two small pig tails coming from the sides of her head. She has large brown eyes, and a cute little face which offers a wide range of expressions, from cute to serious to upset. Her style of dress is "goth-loli"; when she goes out in public she usually dresses in black clothing with an excess of lace and silk, as well as a lot of silver chains and other pieces of jewelry Personality: Misa comes off as a silly girl with not much on her mind. Part of this is true, but she deceives those who think she has no thoughts in her mind. The main thought that goes through her head is probably "LIGHT~"; following that thought comes different ideas on how she can make him love her All right, seriously? Misa is a spontaneous young woman who may not be the brightest bulb in the shop, but she has her own kind of smarts. She is manipulative, and uses her cute charm to put people off and get what she wants. She is dedicated and devoted to Light, and is his willing tool. Misa wants to feel needed, needs recognition from others. This is probably why she is in the modeling and acting businesses- she's a clear extrovert, always craving the spotlight. But the person from whom she wants attention the most is Light. She will put aside her morals for him; she would give her life for him. Misa is a pushy person at times, when it comes to attaining what she wants, she will not let obstacles stand in her way. This includes love as well; she forces her emotions on him in the belief that eventually he will learn to love and cherish her as she loves and worships him. When she doesn't get her way, she becomes extremely sullen and hard to deal with. Abilities: Misa would say her primary ability is to make clothes look good~ She is a model, after all. Her more interesting abilities, however, are the power to see a person's name and life span merely by looking them in the face, and then being able to kill that person by writing their name down in the Death Note. She gained the eye ability twice by exchanging half of her life. History: Note: I made some stuff up about the beginning of her life/filled in the early years because I'm a dork like that? Also as a way to point to how Misa is who Misa is today ^^ Amane Misa was born December 25, 1984 in Kyoto, where she lived with her parents in a loving home. She was an only child, and her parents spoiled her while she was growing up- anything that Misa wanted, she got. It was a rather uneventful childhood, but it was a happy one. When she graduated from high school, instead of going to college (academics had never been a big interest for Misa growing up, and her parents' hadn't emphasized it too much anyway), she looked into a career as a model. Misa had always been interested in fashion and beauty, and at age 17 she was small enough and cute enough for Yoshida Productions to offer her a contract. Quickly, Misa gained fame, becoming known for Gothic Lolita fashion. She continued to live with her parents even as he career took off, and used her money to repay them for all the love they gave her growing up. This desire to meet Kira grew when she received the Death Note from a shinigami named Rem, which happened not long after Misa herself almost faced death, when a stalker one night said he loved Misa and that he was going to kill her so that no one else could have her. Somehow she survived, when the man suddenly walked away from her and collapsed on the street. When Rem explained what the Death Note was capable of doing, Misa immediately formed a plan on how to use it to meet Kira, and soon after, she moved to Tokyo. She sent tapes to a television station, declaring that she was Kira to catch the true Kira's attention. It wasn't more than a few weeks time before Misa got the opportunity to find Kira- Light Yagami- and a few days after finding him, she met him face-to-face. In those few days, an interesting thing happened- Misa had fallen in love with Light. She'd always admired Kira since he'd punished her parents' murderer, but when she saw Light that first time, it was love at first sight, and that feeling never changed. During their first meeting, Misa told Light that all she wanted was for him to be her boyfriend, and that if he dated her, she would do anything for him, that she would be his eyes (as she'd made the eye deal with Rem to see every person's name and lifespan in exchange for half her life). Light promised that he would pretend to be her boyfriend, and Misa was satisfied with that, convinced that she would make him love her eventually. A few days later, Misa was arrested as a second Kira suspect, after meeting Light at his college, and unknowingly meeting L for the first time as well. After her arrest, she spent nearly two months confined in a straight jacket, her eyes covered, and undergoing constant questioning from L, with only the strength of her love for Light keeping her going. She was forced within the first week, though, to give up ownership of the Death Note to protect Light. After more than fifty days of standing in front of a camera, unable to move or see, and being questioned about Kira, Misa was finally released. She was still the main suspect for the second Kira, however, so Misa remained under L's surveillance, this time meaning she had to live at the taskforce headquarters, and that Matsuda, one of the police officers, was to be her manager. But she got to work on a movie and she got to see Light, so Misa was happy enough with the arrangements. She was even happier when she got to play a part in the Kira investigation, as Light told her he wanted to catch Kira and prove to Ryuuzaki that he and Misa were innocent. The suspect was a member of Yotsuba, and Misa had an opportunity to be interviewed by them, something this Kira would be interested in as it was well-known that Misa had been a suspect in the Kira investigation. While at the company headquarters, something surprising happened- Misa met Rem again, though she had no memory of the shinigami. Rem told Misa that she was, in fact, the second Kira just as L suspected, and that Light had been Kira, and he had a plan to become Kira again. Misa was able to use this knowledge to get evidence on Higuchi, whom Rem revealed to Misa was the current Kira, and give it to Light and L to help further their investigation, all the while knowing that Light was Kira and that soon she would be able to help him make the world a better place again. And that did happen. Misa didn't know all the details, only that after Higuchi was caught, Light got his memory back and then told Misa where to find her Death Note, so she regained her memories of being Kira as well. Soon after that, L died. Not long after that, Misa showed up here. NEO GENESIS: False memories: Misa grew up with her parents in Terra; they were very loving but they also were a little strange, for they often would visit the Abyss, believing that the place could be brought up to Terra standards if they just showed the Abyssians the proper way of living. How they intended to do this was unknown, but clearly they failed for on one of those trips, so Misa remembers, they were murdered. Ever since, Misa has had a true hatred for those from the Abyss. She has longed ever since her parents' untimely death, to find a way into Elysium, and for this reason she took up modeling, hoping it would catch some wealthy Elysium resident's eye. It has yet to work, but Misa is hopeful. Whenever Misa is not at work, she can be found in Terra's nightclub, hoping to run into her Elysium prince charming. For some unexplainable reason Misa can see the names of people floating above their heads. She hasn't quite got the idea that this might be something to hide, so she'll usually address a person by their name even if they have never met. |
